Theodore Oladele Odulesi
About
Chief T.O. Odulesi
Theodore Oladele Odulesi was born on Friday, May 13th 1932 at Irolu Remo, to the late Mr. THEOPHILUS FADIPE ODULESI and late Madam ALICE OTUNYEBO ODULESI (nee AFINSULU). Both were devoted christians, who worked diligently to provide for their family. His father was a goldsmith and his mum was a trader in textiles and kola nuts.
Theodore Oladele went to Abeokuta to live with his aunt (Mrs S.O. Dopemu) in 1938 and started school in 1939 at Ogbe Methodist School, Abeokuta. After 3 years in the Infant department, he spent the next six years in the primary department from 1942 to 1947. He took and passed the First School Leaving Certification Examination (G,2) in 1947. In 1948, Theodore Oladele became a pupil teacher at Itesi Methodist School, also in Abeokuta on a monthly salary of £1 (₦2).
It would be a disservice not to mention that his mother, his senior brother (Dayo Ogundeyin), and his aunt Mrs. Dopemu, jointly shouldered his primary education. Occasionally, another uncle (his father’s only brother) Pa Joseph Aina Odulesi paid for his school fees, especially through the infant classes, immediately after his father died.

Tribute
I am sure you would have received a ‘WELL DONE’’ from your maker by now. Keep resting your weary feet Daddy. Sleep well.
Your adopted daughter,
Dad, you taught me the importance and great usefulness of "PRAYER AND EDUCATION" which obviously has brought me this far
You were so accommodating and you lived the best life anyone would love to emulate. You nurtured and ensured everyone around you was happy and fine.
I honestly don't even know where to start. Do I start from how you used to drop me off at school from my primary school days at O&A Ikenne, to Mayflower and to olabisi Onabanjo University?
You have done so well Daddy and to God Alone be the Glory that you lived an exemplary life.
CONTINUE TO REST AND ABIDE WITH YOUR CREATOR CAUSE I SURE KNOW YOU ARE IN A BETTER PLACE.
LOVE YOU DADDY.
I first met Uncle Dele, when my wife and I returned from abroad in the mid 70s. Since then has taken us as his own. More importantly, he was so unique, and a bridge builder particularly in the families of Osinbowale and idalesi of Irolu-Remo
A man of integrity, highly principled and always working for peace and progress in the family. I hope and pray that the love continues in Jesus' name, Amen.
May his soul find favor in His presence
